Providing The Disabled With Stable Financial Futures

Nobody plans to lose the ability to work because of a disability. But if it happens to you, you will need something to make up for your lost income, either short term or for the foreseeable future. Social Security Disability (SSD) benefits are there to help you if you are too disabled to continue working. But getting approved for benefits can be difficult without the help of an SSD attorney. With more than 20 years of experience, at Kyle Robertson, PLLC, we are committed to helping seriously disabled and ill people in central Mississippi and the Gulf Coast region get approved for their rightful SSD benefits. Attorney Kyle Robertson will work closely with you and handle every aspect of your claim. If your application has been denied, he will represent you on appeal. He and the rest of our legal team will use extensive legal skill to help you maintain financial stability long term.

How Do I Qualify For Social Security Disability?

The Social Security Administration (SSA) requires that an applicant have earned a certain amount of income recently and that they currently have a disability or illness that will make it impossible for them to work again for at least one year. The SSA keeps a list of conditions it considers to be “disabling,” including:

  • Heart disease
  • Quadriplegia and other spinal injuries
  • Cystic fibrosis
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Schizophrenia and other mental disorders

It is not the end of the road if you have already applied for SSD and been turned down. The SSA has an appeals process called “reconsideration.” This generally results in a hearing before an administrative law judge. Kyle will gather your medical records and other evidence and represent you before the judge to argue that you deserve SSD benefits. He will keep in touch with you throughout the process, so you will always be up to date.
